Phoenix Torso


A fantastic project for PLANarama sculpting and casting an original Torso for wearable technology to be displayed on.  A fully articulated wooden armature was made for the client to pose into the desired position before clay was sculpted over the top.
The Torso was divided into six pieces to allow for changeable limbs at later stages as new devices were released.  A mould was made and a original cast in GRP before being faultlessly sprayed in red to take production moulds off.  From there we produced over 60 units in a combination of GRP and rotationally moulded PU resin.  After each torso was meticulously sanded they were painted to the clients colour choice before being packed and sent around the country to a well know phone company.
